MartinFederal Awarded High-Performance
Computing Task Order
July 7, 2009 - MartinFederal was recently notified
that it had been awarded a task order by the Extreme
Scale Systems Center and the Department of Defense (DoD)
to provide High-Performance SME support to the High-Performance
Computing Research Program at ORNL; a major program
focused in understanding how to fully exploit peta-scale
supercomputing resources by maximizing the efficient
use of all system resources. MartinFederal has been
tasked in developing a meta-scheduler which will be
used to optimize computational workloads by combining
multiple distributed resource managers into a single
aggregated view, allowing jobs to be directed to the
best location for execution. MartinFederal is also tasked
with developing a meta-scheduler market survey and performance
evaluation of available meta-schedulers that have potential
for use in applications of interest to ORNL.
